With Al and Claire in a house - possibly Andy and Graham are in the house at this time too. It is night time. Graham, Claire's partner has become violent and volatile. This is due to some drama - perhaps he has has found out that Claire is splitting up from him or has had an affair. Graham is now dangerous. At this point he is outside the house.
It is night. Late evening.
I need to go home. I have work the next day.
I am not connected with the drama, but Al and Claire warn me against going outside anyway. I say to Al at some point 'trust but verify' explaining that it is an old Russian proverb.
Somehow I do go outside. Graham is in the darkness, malevolent and threatening. I think I suggest we go down the pub. I am not connected to the drama. Perhaps he will understand this, and just needs someone to talk to.
The night-city I am in seems a curious mixture of Brighton, Worcester and Forres.
We end up in a pub - I think there are two levels to this pub. The pub is busy and crowded. Andy is here too, he has been drinking and is getting drunker. Graham becomes more and more violent - I think he starts some kind of violent ruckus.
I decide it is time to leave. I need to be up for work the next day. I am having trouble finding the exit. I come across some doors - made out of metal - the doors do not seem to be working properly. I can see people trying to get in from outside - or queueing up. I can see their legs through the bottom of the door. There may be steps leading down from the door I am trying to get out of, to the doors to the street.
I need to find another way out. I find myself in the interior of a shopping centre, walking by old shops.
I come across a children's play area - there are mother playing with their children and toy cars.
This is ridiculous! How do I find my way out!
I turn back, thinking just how absurd this all is, because I had the same problem the last time I was here recently for an eye appointment. Somehow I find myself outside. Dark countryside, but also in the middle of town - a spire nearby (Worcester cathedral?) I need to get back into town - do I have to go through the graveyard to get back? Tombs on the other side of the hedge - will it be dangerous to be in the graveyard so late at night?
I find myself back in the shopping centre. There is some kind of pedestrian escalator / walkway. I am alarmed to see on this walkway there are bulls with their calves - this could be dangerous.
I am at the top of some kind of walkway next to the bull walkway (which seems slightly lower). I am greeted by a woman with two men - some kind of security personnel. She offers me what seems to be a white piece of fabric. I am not sur what to do with this - perhaps she means to gag me? No - of course not. This is some kind of apron I must wear to help me get past the bulls.
We end up walking down some narrow stairs to the men's toilets. The bulls do not seem to be about. I say this to the woman, and she says that the bulls have not gone yet. She has a small girl with her she is allowing to use the toilets as the women's toilets are not available. I step outside respectfully. Another girl comes down the stairs but elects not to us ethe toilets and walks back up.
