Adventures In The Holographic Hotel (night of 20/11/2024)

A huge hotel, that is a holographic simulation. I am there with Karen, and we both walk up to the reception. I am about to ask to book a room under the name Sapphire and Steel, but decide not to. I am awarte that this hotel is a simulation. It is unclear if we are there to solve a mystery - is this some kind of game? After going to our room, we return to some kind of bar area. I start talking with hotel employees - trying to find out what the mystery is to be solved. The hotel is huge - dark wood panels with a 1830s feel. Some of the employees act strange - a clue? One of the other people a woman with white hair starts 'pausing'? One of the other woman motion to her - this is important -  and says 'she always does this' or similar - perhaps she is giving me a helpful hint? I understand that the woman acting strangely is a sign that I am closer to the mysteries of the hotel and the woman is pausing trying to distract. The fact that the woman is acting strangely is a sign that sign that the programmers of the simulation are trying to distract me from the mystery - the corollary of this being that I know I am closer to it. I almost call the paused woman an NPC but do not.
There is a dog running around. I am pleased to see this dog and have seen it before. The dog annoys some people. 

I seem to have lost Karen, and cannot remember our room. I am now with Matt, and we are walking through a busy dancehall. I see him speaking on his mobile under jumper. It strikes me that he must be working for the 'management', meaning the programmers of this simulation. I ask him and he admits this - but he is nothing to do with the mystery - he spots parts of the game that do not feel right and reports back. He points out a piece of copper piping that should not be there, and might hurt someone. - It is important that the hotel seems to run smoothly 

In a Cellar area that seems outside and inside. Brick walls in a street kind of scene an English looking pub. I say to Matt I cannot believe this isn't real. "What if the dreamers need to go to the toilet?" I ask Matt. Matt replies that no one has chosen to play the game that long. He lets us into a huge cellar room full of discarded furniture. I motion at 'cellar chairs' the kind of chairs that always seem to be in cellars. I marvel at how real it all seems 

We are in another room similar to the previous but not quite as cellar-like. Under an alcove archway, there is more discarded furniture, and another chair. I consider sitting in it. Where is Matt? Karen might be getting annoyed with me. She has the only key. I do not remember where our room is. I wish Matt would hurry up. I imagine he is doing locking up doors. At the base of some stairs I hear a man coughing above me - another player in the game.
Do I then go back to reception? There are some vague flashes of being given a duplicate key to get back in.

Possibly connected to the same dream: Industrial poles spiralling ina square pattern - some kind of 'poles of melancholy' A kind of hige diorama / model of Europe - green hills, black skies. Emily travelling.
