Horror Book Hotel (night of 28/11/2024)

I am staying in a hotel. The hotel is old and feels quite abandoned. There is some excitement about the discovery of othger rooms - room 5 or 7. I am with other people. We go to explore them. In one of these long unused rooms, feeling a bit like a warehouse room, I find  a box of old paperback horror books from the 1970s - the Fontana Book of Horrors and the like. OIne of them has a title like 'The Avon Book of Horror' and has an atmopsheric picture of the actor David McCallum on the front. Should I take these? Will I get into trouble?
A room in the hotel. A doorway / space into one of the newly discovered rooms is open. How spooky would it be to stay here, knowing there is an entrance to these other spaces in the room?

Black Metal Documentary Before Bed At Lou:s (night of 27/11/2024)

 I am at Lou's house watching a documentary on the early black metal scene. In a scene that is showing Count Grishnack chained to a lamppost in a city street. Knives and blood. Has he just been arrested and is about to be killed. Some kind of mistake has been made! Another black metal musician runs fast up the street, and away from Grishnack. He is going to save him!

Lou is less than impressed with this documentary than me  We go to sleep, both on separate sofas. A harsh metallic static, evil and jarring. What is that I ask Lou. She replies it is music she listens to to help her sleep.

Bullied By A Black Metal Band (night of 23/11/2024)

I am walking up Drumduan Park in Scotland where I lived as a child. Someone pushes me. Members of a black metal band. Strange bullies. I face up to one - much larger than me. He tried to take something from my bag - a drink? My bag also has a strange device made out of wood in it. The band's album sounds like a more straightforward Arcturus.

An Episode Of Coupling (night of 22/11/2024)

Jeff is naked. He is hanging from a huge statue at night. The reason he is naked and outside is something to do with a huge mythological bird. The episode then flashes back - we are about to find out how this happened. A shot of Jeff sitting on a sofa with the other cast members - there seems to be more of them than in the TV show 

Another fragment from the dream - Jeff has had to move out of the apartment. A man has arranged for him to stay in another building temporarily. He is alone in the huge building. This isolation is unnerving and haunted 

Mormons In A Hotel (night of 22/11/2024)

I am staying in a hotel for the week. Some of the other guests are what I call 'Mormons' - black men in súits. I do not have anything to do with them - they are just other guests. Going back to my room I noticed that the Mormons are in front of me. How can I get past them? By operating some kind of joystick, I find that I can control a kind of cursor in front of me. When I hit the fire button on the joystick my 'consciousness' zips to wherever the cursor is. This is kind of thrilling. The Mormons do not notice me. Coming down the corridor is one of the Mormons wives and her child or two. The woman is Chinese. It will require some skill to zap past them . The hotel is dark - the feel of the 1939s. A cosy mysterious feeling. At no point do the Mormons seem to be aware of me 

Adventures In The Holographic Hotel (night of 20/11/2024)

A huge hotel, that is a holographic simulation. I am there with Karen, and we both walk up to the reception. I am about to ask to book a room under the name Sapphire and Steel, but decide not to. I am awarte that this hotel is a simulation. It is unclear if we are there to solve a mystery - is this some kind of game? After going to our room, we return to some kind of bar area. I start talking with hotel employees - trying to find out what the mystery is to be solved. The hotel is huge - dark wood panels with a 1830s feel. Some of the employees act strange - a clue? One of the other people a woman with white hair starts 'pausing'? One of the other woman motion to her - this is important -  and says 'she always does this' or similar - perhaps she is giving me a helpful hint? I understand that the woman acting strangely is a sign that I am closer to the mysteries of the hotel and the woman is pausing trying to distract. The fact that the woman is acting strangely is a sign that sign that the programmers of the simulation are trying to distract me from the mystery - the corollary of this being that I know I am closer to it. I almost call the paused woman an NPC but do not.
There is a dog running around. I am pleased to see this dog and have seen it before. The dog annoys some people. 

I seem to have lost Karen, and cannot remember our room. I am now with Matt, and we are walking through a busy dancehall. I see him speaking on his mobile under jumper. It strikes me that he must be working for the 'management', meaning the programmers of this simulation. I ask him and he admits this - but he is nothing to do with the mystery - he spots parts of the game that do not feel right and reports back. He points out a piece of copper piping that should not be there, and might hurt someone. - It is important that the hotel seems to run smoothly 

In a Cellar area that seems outside and inside. Brick walls in a street kind of scene an English looking pub. I say to Matt I cannot believe this isn't real. "What if the dreamers need to go to the toilet?" I ask Matt. Matt replies that no one has chosen to play the game that long. He lets us into a huge cellar room full of discarded furniture. I motion at 'cellar chairs' the kind of chairs that always seem to be in cellars. I marvel at how real it all seems 

We are in another room similar to the previous but not quite as cellar-like. Under an alcove archway, there is more discarded furniture, and another chair. I consider sitting in it. Where is Matt? Karen might be getting annoyed with me. She has the only key. I do not remember where our room is. I wish Matt would hurry up. I imagine he is doing locking up doors. At the base of some stairs I hear a man coughing above me - another player in the game.
Do I then go back to reception? There are some vague flashes of being given a duplicate key to get back in.

Possibly connected to the same dream: Industrial poles spiralling ina square pattern - some kind of 'poles of melancholy' A kind of hige diorama / model of Europe - green hills, black skies. Emily travelling.

Busy Work Dream (night of 19/11/2024)

 I am at work. The work room seems to be set in the Edgar Street studio. People who have left work have come back such as Patty. I also think I see Jenna, slumped on a chair outside my room, but as I get nearer I see it is not her but a vaguely Eastern European looking woman.

Dealing with something at work involving a customer. Work seems to resemble more Family Investments rather than Gtech. Tables full of people. One of my colleagues, who is either Ethan, my old manager from FI, or Flo, my old flatmate, has messed up. A customer has paid a charge they shouldn't have, or doesn't want to. Flo / Ethan has found a way round this - not to send out the statement till the end of the month when it will be too late for the customer to do anything.

The Flood Is Coming (night of 19/11/2024)

 A grey industrial quarry landscape. Huge rocks. A connection to a band who have recently been censored online. There has been some kind of working going on in this quarry type area, necessitating the building of a huge water channel. The water channel goes into a river, on the right hand side of me. I am eager to see the new water channel, wide and deep in a dark gorge. I cannot get near it - weeds and tangle. 

I am walking on the rocks, near a sign that says 'Danger, Flood Coming'. I look up to see a huge pile of gravel. Tiny stones are starting to flow amongst the rocks, moving like water. I do not feel in any danger, and move back towards the ground. Another man, or men, walking dogs?

The Rope-Swing Rope (night of 04/11/2024)

I am in an area of woodland with a woman. Looking down from a ridge into a large hollow. I am excited to find a long piece of rope. I recognise this as 'ropeswing rope' - ie rope that would be good for a ropeswing. This is verey exciting. Looking down into the hollow I see a lot of rope, which I shout excitedly to my companion. We descened into the hollow to investigate - there are lots of old stuff here - chairs, and what I am initially excited to think of as a grandfather clock, half buried in sand. I look at this mroe closely and see that it is some kind of antique weighing machine.
We are joined by another man. The scene changes to some kind of cellar. I am stille xcited to investigate. Am I meant to be here though? I see another man dressed in a suit, looking official, in another room of the cellar - perhaps he is some kind of security guard?
