Witnessing a Disaster (night of 23/02/2015)
I am in the flat with Andy - The flat bears little resemblance to where we live now, and resembles more the kitchen of Abbey Crescent I lived in in Southside. We are looking out of the kitchen windows. A stormy blustery day. The view outside the window does not bear any resemblance to either Southside or where I live now. There is a large three of four storey building across the street. It is wavering in the wind - in fact, it seems to be almost rippling. The building collapses. People are falling off the building. The building seems to collapse into a nothingness. I think we are actually watching people die. I nearly say this to Andy but don't for some reason. Across the void where the building once was I see people fall into a frothy sea on the other side of a low wall. A huge tidal wave comes up the street - people fall down a slope into the wave, and try to escape. The sea actually seems malevolent and reached out to grab the people trying to escape. The water come up to the door of the kitchen, and then under the crack of the door. 'Now things are getting serious!' I say as the kitchen if flooded with water up to our ankles.
